I have been a patient at Treiber Dermatology for some time now. For at least the past 4 years or so, Dr. Ruth Treiber has been the dermatologist for myself as well as my husband and 2 children, and she has been an absolute pleasure to work with the whole time! As a doctor, she is one of the most caring and comforting I have ever met, and she has always been great with children – my kids don’t mind coming in with me at all! For the past 4 years, I have only ever had general procedures done and never really delved too far into the cosmetic world, aside from a facial or two this past summer. But getting older now, I just turned 37, I have had a lot of friends recently undergo cosmetic surgery and have a lot of different procedures done. While most of them are in their 40’s or 50’s at this point, one of them isn’t even 35 yet, and her work is exactly what I’ve been looking for, I just never even realized she’s had anything done!
And while one friend had made the leap all the way to a facelift and other surgical procedures she wouldn’t want me to mention, the younger one said she has been getting injectables like Botox and Juvederm done for the past two years! When I first heard this it really blew my mind. When I hear the term Botox, I sort of always go straight to the images of botched procedures online, or women with way overdone faces and truly couldn’t imagine that she had any work done at all. So naturally, looking at my own wrinkles, and different little spots on my face, I asked her where she went and would you believe she mentioned both Dr. Ruth Treiber and her husband, Dr. Eric Treiber! The second I heard, I flashed back to all the times she had recommended something for this or that, and wished I had taken her up on the offer sooner! Regardless, better late than never, so the very next Monday I called Treiber Dermatology and booked my consultation and here is my experience!
My Consultation & Experience
Being a regular patient for years, and coming in to have some aesthetic work done for the first time, I feel gives me a really unique perspective. As I walked into the practice, I was extremely nervous and didn’t really know what to expect. I never really spoke much to the staff, as id usually always be busy with the kids today, but after they realized I was in there for a Botox and Fillers consultation, and could tell I was certainly nervous – they began to explain different things to me. I actually hadn’t been in the practice in months at this point, so things were a bit different from how I remember them also. A few new faces, who were all sweet as can be! Even the basement area of the practice looked different from what I remembered, but it was clearly a bit upgraded and I was excited to see it!
Dr. Ruth Treiber and I have always had a fairly good rapport, and she’s always been so straightforward and honest with me about everything and this is one thing I appreciated about her more than anything. Before anything she went over my face, and left no detail, bump, line, mark un-mentioned to me – including her recommendation. This is one of the main reasons I have been a patient of hers for so long, because she is always so thorough and takes her job very seriously, which is something I love in a doctor! As friendly and cordial as she can be when having some small talk, she always seems very laser focused on her patient and its a great feeling to have when you are nervous like I was! She explained everything about my issues, and what she would do to address them. She even tried to turn me away from certain other procedures, mentioning that it would be better to see how I feel after the Botox, and the fillers we also decided upon. The best part was the actual treatment itself, and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. One thing I loved is that Dr. Treiber explained everything so clearly at the beginning (seeing how nervous I was !) And even referred back to those points during the experience. And truth be told, it was nothing! A light pinch here and there, maybe a little bit or soreness after, and some light swelling and you are fine. Nothing any mom couldn’t handle already!
The best part of the whole experience, aside from the comforting nature of Dr. Treiber was her work! She is amazing! And a true artist when it comes to her craft. She made it as simple as can be, while giving me great results, that are most importantly natural looking! I have a general appointment with her in a few weeks and I will certainly be going back to her for more injectables sometimes soon! Must check her and her husband out at Treiber Dermatology!
