Anil Melwani is the most recent partner to join the team at JLD Tax & Accounting. Anil founded 212 Tax & Accounting Services in 2008, and has been helping both businesses & individuals with their accounting, tax preparation, and tax planning since then. Anil’s main focus has been on the hospitality, entertainment, and food & beverage industries, along with clients who face various types of international tax issues and many people who work with the United Nations and foreign governments. He also has extensive experience helping taxpayers with tax problems, including late returns, missed filings, and negotiating back taxes and penalties.

Prior to founding 212 Tax Services, Anil served as Vice President of Armel Enterprises, an importer & distributor of home furnishings. His duties included budgeting, forecasting, and inventory control, meeting with major retailers, and traveling to Asia to develop and source new products. Anil’s career in accounting started with Deloitte in the summer of 2000. He eventually became an integral part of the audit engagement team for several clients including Forever 21, India Abroad/Rediff.com, Lens Crafters, Merrill Lynch, and the Rockefeller Family Investment Group. Anil’s knowledge of the inner workings of businesses and their tax obligations, coupled with his experience as a professional auditor, has enabled him to be a very highly regarded accountant and business advisor.
