When Little Italy institution Little Charlie’s Clam Bar closed in 2007, it found a new location in Brooklyn as Desy’s Clam Bar.
Now, Desy’s Clam Bar has found a permanent home in Williamsburg as Desy’s Clam Restaurant, owned by Edgar Lunavictoria and employing the same chefs from Little Charlie’s.
Lunavictoria, a restaurateur who operated Mama Louisa’s Hero Shoppe in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, brings his experience, deep love of fine Italian cuisine, and famous artichoke parmesan to Desy’s.
For fans old and new, Charlie’s food — and famous red sauce — will never die.
